Slađana Tanasković je diplomirala 1990. godine i specijalizirala 2018. na Univerzitetu u Beogradu - Farmaceutskom fakultetu. Magistrirala je 2000. i doktorirala 2007. godine na Univerzitetu u Beogradu-Hemijskom fakultetu.

Dr Slađana Tanasković učestvuje u realizaciji teorijske i praktične nastave na integrisanim akademskim studijama oba smera na Katedri za Opštu i neorgansku hemiju. Mentor je 220 diplomskih i završnih radova. Učestvuje i u komisijama za odbranu diplomskih radova.

Od 1996. godine, dr Slađana Tanasković učestvuje u projektima MPNTR, Republike Srbije..

Naučno-istraživački interes ispoljila je u oblastima sinteze, ispitivanja fizičko-hemijskih osobina, kao i biološke aktivnosti novih kompleksnih jedinjenja prelaznih metala in vitro.

Objavila je ukupno 70 radova i saopštenja.
