Violeta Dopsaj graduated in 1981. from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade. She defended her master's thesis entitled "Determination of lactate concentration as an indicator of anaerobic capacity of athletes" in 1987. and a doctoral dissertation "Determination of cytokines in the earliest stages of oocyte and embryo development in in vitro fertilization" in 1999. at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade.

Since March 1987. she was employed at the Center for Medical Biochemistry, Clinical Center of Serbia, in the teaching base of the Faculty of Pharmacy. Since 1992. until 2021. she was the head of the Department of Laboratory Hematology and Hemostasis at the Center for Polyclinic Diagnostics. She completed her health specialization in Medical Biochemistry in 1991. and subspecialization in Clinical Immunochemistry in 2003. Until 2000, he participated in practical classes in the laboratory of KCS, and since 2000. in theoretical classes in the subjects of Clinical Chemistry and Medical Biochemistry. For the accredited study program Pharmacy-Medical Biochemistry, she completely created and prepared the curriculum for the subjects Laboratory Hematology and Laboratory Hemostasis. She also participated in the creation of the subjects Sports Pharmacy and Biochemistry of Sports, where four departments from the Faculty of Pharmacy are involved in teaching. She participates in performing health and academic specializations, as well as doctoral studies.

Since 1991. she has been participating in projects of the Ministry of Science of the Republic of Serbia.

Areas of research and interest: medical biochemistry, clinical biochemistry, clinical immunochemistry, laboratory hematology and hemostasis, sports biochemistry.

As part of her continuing education, she participated as a lecturer and organizer in conducting a number of continuing education courses at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medicine in Belgrade.

She has published a total of 62 papers in indexed journals (WoS). She was a member of the Republic Commission for Medical and Clinical Biochemistry and the Commission for Health Technologies at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia, the Program Council of the Center for Continuing Education and the Commission for Monitoring the Quality of Teaching at the Faculty of Pharmacy.
