Dragana Božić (born Vučićević) was born on 22.09.1975. in Belgrade, Serbia. She graduated at the Faculty of Medicine-University of Belgrade in 2001, with an average grade 9.77. During her studies she was awarded with the scholarship of the Ministry of Education of Republic of Serbia and the scholarship of the Royal Norwegian Embassy.

She finished her internship at the Faculty of Medicine-University of Belgrade in 2002, and passed the MD professional exam at the Ministry of Health, Serbia.

In 2007 she completed Master study in Immunology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade and defended Master thesis: “Differentiation of T lymphocytes with regulatory activity in coculture of rat thymocytes and thymic cortical epithelial cell line in vitro”, mentor Professor Miodrag Čolić, Institute for Medical Research, Medical Military Academy, Belgrade and Professor Marija Mostarica-Stojković, Institute of Microbiology and Immunology, Faculty of Medicine-University of Belgrade.
In 2014 she completed PhD study in Pharmaceutical Microbiology at the University of Belgrade-Faculty of Pharmacy and defended PhD thesis: „Antimicrobial activity of chalcones and in vitro effect on physiological and biochemical characteristics and expression of virulence factors of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus “, mentor Professor Marina Milenković, University of Belgrade-Faculty of Pharmacy.

In January 2017 she finished medical specialization in Microbiology and Parasitology at the Faculty of Medicine-University of Belgrade with the highest grade.

Dragana Božić is employed at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology since February 2004, first as a teaching assistant, and then as an Assistant Professor (2015) and Associate Professor (2020), where she teaches on Integrated Academic Studies, Postgraduate Studies and Medical Specializations, and works as a Head of investigation in Laboratory for microbiological control of medicines.

She is engaged in several National and International scientific projects and is a member of Serbian Society of Immunology and Serbian Society of Microbiology.
