Jelena Parojčić obtained BPharm (1992), MSc (1996), PhD (2004) and Postgraduate specialization (2005) in Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Pharmacy, where she was appointed as Professor in 2014.

Prof Parojčić is engaged in organization and delivery of Pharmaceutical Technology 3, Industrial Pharmacy and Veterinary Medicines courses within the Master of Pharmacy study program, and a number of subjects within the postgraduate doctoral and professional specialization studies. She has mentored more than 60 BPharm and MPharm students, nine PhD students, and more than 40 students engaged in postgraduate specialization in Pharmaceutical Technology and Industrial Pharmacy. She is the author or co-author of more than 80 scientific and professional papers (of which 59 have been published in international scientific journals) and more than 160 presentations at national and international scientific and professional conferences.

In 2005, Jelena Parojčić was awarded a grant from the Ministry of Science of the Republic of Serbia for postdoctoral research study visit in the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Trinity College, University of Dublin. In 2014, she was appointed as Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the School of Pharmacy, University of Washington in Seattle.

Prof Parojčić has completed the postgraduate course in Medical Education (PGCert MedEd) at the University of Dundee, as well as Teaching Certificate in Pharmacy Education program at the University of Washington.

Prof Parojčić is president of the Section of Pharmaceutical Association of Serbia. In the period 2009-2012 she served as Vice Dean of Research and International Cooperation at the Faculty of Pharmacy. She was the president or member of the scientific board of a number of national and international scientific conferences. She is coordinator of the CEEPUS network Central European Knowledge Alliance for Teaching, Learning & Research in Pharmaceutical Technology.
Prof Parojčić’s research interest includes different aspects of novel pharmaceutical solid dosage forms development and optimization; as well as integrated biopharmaceutical approach in pharmaceutical development and drug characterization.
